Before you decide

Use this guide as decision support. Always verify current pricing, seller reliability, warranty eligibility, return terms, customs treatment, and final checkout cost before buying or importing.

The RTX 5090 is the kind of product where the India versus USA price gap can look dramatic. On paper, importing may seem attractive because high-end GPU pricing in India can include heavy premiums.

But this is also one of the hardest import decisions to make safely. Stock volatility, AIB model differences, seller markup, warranty handling, and the risk of receiving an expensive damaged component all need to be considered.

Do not compare only against MSRP

High-end GPUs often sell above MSRP depending on stock, demand, model, cooler design, and retailer. A theoretical US price is not enough. The comparison should use a real, available listing from a trusted seller.

The exact AIB model matters too. A Founders Edition, ASUS ROG, MSI Suprim, Gigabyte Aorus, or Zotac card may not be priced the same or supported the same way.

Warranty can decide the purchase

For a GPU this expensive, warranty support is a major part of the buying decision. If an imported card fails and the brand or distributor does not support it locally, the buyer may have to ship it back abroad or accept a difficult RMA route.

A large visible saving can still be risky if after-sale support is unclear.

Seller trust matters more than usual

An RTX 5090 import should only be considered through a highly trusted source. Grey-market listings, suspiciously low prices, unclear invoice terms, or resale stock can create serious risk.

For a purchase this expensive, paying slightly more through a reliable route may be safer than chasing the lowest price.

When importing may be worth checking

Importing may be worth checking if the card is available from a trusted US retailer at a sane price, the landed cost still shows a large saving, and the buyer understands the warranty trade-off.

If the source is unclear or the saving is not large enough, buying in India from a reputable seller is usually cleaner.
